If we enable HTTPS for the BOSH client then, what is the performance impact.

Is it really a significant impact? Of the impact can be ignored?

Performance impact of HTTPS over HTTP in Bosh is very low. I do not have any specific numbers for you but the impact was low enough, that it has never been an issue on either our own installations or on customer's installations. At least, nobody ever reported any issue related to this.

However, Bosh itself is a huge impact over standard XMPP connection or web sockets connections. I suggest, if you have web clients, use web sockets whenever possible and only switch to Bosh as the last resort.
