Hello,

I installed the latest stable of tigase-server and woundering that I do not find the documentation for this version.

Anyway, under docs.tigase.org I found a ldap description: http://docs.tigase.org/tigase-server/5.3.0/adminguide/#_ldap_authentication_connector

There is a hint that from version 5.1.0 the ldap connector can use bind authentication mode. But I can't find the configuration parameters therefore.

How I can configure base, rootdn and password for bind? How I can manage groups from ldap and so on?

I can't find anything more except this link above..

Thanks

Björn

Everything is described.

If your cn in ldap looks like "bjorn" use:

# LDAP Authentication connector
# LDAP connection URI
# LDAP access parameters
basic-conf/auth-repo-params/user-dn-pattern=cn=%1$s,ou=people,dc=tigase,dc=org

If your cn in ldap looks like "bjorn@example.com" use:

# LDAP Authentication connector
# LDAP connection URI
# LDAP access parameters
basic-conf/auth-repo-params/user-dn-pattern=cn=%3$s,ou=people,dc=tigase,dc=org

Well, it's not clear for me.

What does tigase use as login name? Is that samaccountname?

My user dn looks like this: CN=NAME\, LASTNAME,OU=Location,OU=Somethingelse,DC=tigase,DC=org. How to handle this?

In addition I'm interested in groups.

You can't.

As I said: it tries to bind as user with specific DN, no search, no groups.

I assumed that cn will be username not full name.

Oh. Okay, so I'm out again....

No suitable open source xmpp server for this active directory structure in this world :-(

Thanks anyway!
