Problems with GUI installer & Web installer on CentOS 7.1

I am trying to install Tigase 7.0.2 on CentOS 7.1.1503 which has

default GNOME X desktop, but after copying all the files, clicking

on the instller's Next button doesn't take me to next screen, it

just hangs there. Thinking that it was a java issue, I tried with

OpenJDK 7, Oracle JDK 7u79 & JDK 8(1.8.0_45) but the issue remains

same i.e. I can't proceed further.

Alternatively, I tried web install & although Tigase started fine,

going to the browser using localhost:8080/setup didn't show me the

first page, the http request never returned.

Please help.

Can you share output from console? There was

Can you try with trailing slash, i.e.: http://localhost:8080/setup/ ?

"java -jar tigase-server-7.0.2-b3821.jar" produces no output on

screen. Also, the logs directory inside the Tigase installation directory

(where installer copies all the files) is also empty.

Using the trailing slash, I could see the first page in

browser. I want to know if there is a configuration to change

the port 8080 to any other value during installation time.

Also, does the port can be changed to a different port after

Tigase is installed.

Thanks for the help.

It should produce output in the console window? Please try:

java -DTRACE=TRUE -jar tigase-server-7.0.2-b3821.jar

You can modify etc/init.properties and add following line:

http/http/port[I]=8088

Same configuration is also used later on.
