I got a strange problem. my http comp(V 1.1.0) stop work in every Saturday, around 6:00~6:30 AM(GMT+8). port state still LISTEN and telnet port is ok.

but web console(.../ui/) unavailable,no Suspicious logs. re-add this comp or restart server it works then.

I inspect all timer task but noting helpfull.

Any advice and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Do you have http added to --debug list? Sometimes if the component is not added to debug list, some critical errors may not make it to the log files.

basic-conf/logging/tigase.http.level=FINEST added instead of --debug.

Does the component stop working locally or only for the remote connections? Does it resume working correctly after the downtime window? What if you telnet to the port and make HTTP request to retrieve web console?

Stop working both of scene, and never resume.

I set server date 'Saturday 5:00' and restart server, http comp works well to now.

othewise, http port: 8090

$ netstat -nat|grep 8090|wc -l
103

$ netstat -nat|grep 8090|grep CLOSE_WAIT|wc -l
101

http comp only supply for Webserver. those CLOSE_WAIT connection's source ip seems strange.

I will change port or remove 8090 from iptables and waitting for this Saturday...

Which server do you use? Default or Jetty?

Added by Hic cup over 2 years ago

tigase-http-api.jar  V 1.1.0

--comp-class-1=tigase.http.HttpMessageReceiver

Server A dead and never retrieve.

Server B which http port changed dead and retrieve in few mins.Server B that 8090 removed from ipables works well.

It seems that somebody use ip scan tools or something do something...

Therefore it looks like a more of your configuration than the Tigase issue.
