com.mysql.jdbc.PacketTooBigException: Packet for query is too large

Guys,

I am getting this error message:

com.mysql.jdbc.PacketTooBigException: Packet for query is too large (17110872 > 16777216). You can change this value on the server by setting the max_allowed_packet' variable.

I do not have control over the database server and can not modify its configuration values. What can I do to fix this issue? We are logging list and tigase is complaining about this data and supposedly can't update this data in database because of max allowed packet size.

Please tell me:

  • How can I get rid of logging vhost list in logs?

  • How can I fix PacketTooBigException on client side(tigase server)?

Thanks,

Subir

What do you mean? Printing of all the vhosts in the @logs/tigase-console.log@? You need to modify Tigase code.

Again - it would require modification of Server code.
